We always try to walk the walk, but are we talking the talk? Sure, to be good advocates, we talk about the importance of programs that matter to us. We talk about how programs like child care assistance and Head Start keep children in our communities learning, parents working, and providers afloat.

But the question always looms near: how do we make sure these important programs stay funded during difficult economic times?

The answer is simple: tax revenues.

For many advocates, though, talking about taxes doesn’t come as naturally. We want to help! Join us for a webinar, called Working on the Budget: Talking the Talk about Tax Revenues on Monday, September 26 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern to get some simple tips on how to round out your advocacy.

We need to be prepared. The congressional "super-committee" is currently working on recommendations for deficit reduction, the President introduced a new job-creation initiative, and there will likely be another challenging budget and appropriations process this fall.

To recover as a nation we need plans to reduce the deficit that include raising tax revenues in order to pay for critical programs. Too often, packages that would slash key supports for women and families simultaneously ensure that millionaires and corporations don't have to pay a penny more. So, the programs that we care about are put at risk while tax breaks and loopholes for the wealthiest are protected.

Take your advocacy to the next level and start talking about revenues! Register today for this free webinar — Working on the Budget: Talking the Talk about Tax Revenues. We want you to feel as prepared as possible for the road ahead.
