President Launches “Invest in Us,” Announces Over $1 Billion in Early Childhood Investments On the White House Summit on Early Education Wednesday, President Obama called on business leaders, philanthropists, advocates, elected officials and members of the public to invest in the expansion of early childhood opportunities for children through Invest in Us, a campaign launched with FFYF and our philanthropic partners. At the summit, commitments totaling more than $333 million from corporations, foundations and individuals were announced along with more than $750 million in federal funding through Preschool Development Grants and Early Head Start-Child Care Partnerships.
