Access to high-quality early learning and care is not a luxury for American families–it’s a necessity. Thanks to bipartisan leadership on Capitol Hill and the progress taking place in states and communities across the country, there is a growing focus on how to ensure families have access to the quality early childhood education opportunities proven to help prepare them socially, emotionally, and academically for school and beyond. However, there is much work to be done to reach more children and families for whom these opportunities are still out of reach. Policymakers and their staffs, as well as early childhood education advocates, have an opportunity to showcase the progress that has been made, learn from their communities about the struggles families are facing, and discuss ways in which they can ensure greater access to quality early learning and care for America’s youngest learners.
That’s why FFYF developed the Quality Early Learning and Child Care Toolkit for Congress. This resource provides research and data behind the need for early childhood education, as well as the policy and political opportunities for a robust federal partnership to support early learning and care. Download the Toolkit to access key facts, talking points, and more. This resource can also help you identify local engagement opportunities in your community.
