Making News: MIECHV Grants, 2026

In the News October 6, 2026

MIECHV is making headlines! The Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) program provides federal funding to states to use to pair families with very young children with trained home visitors such as nurses, social workers, and educators. In this voluntary program, parents (or soon-to-be parents) with very limited resources or support meet one-on-one with home visitors from pregnancy through their child’s kindergarten entry to help lay the foundation for the health, education, development, and economic self-sufficiency of the entire family.

Recap: In October 2026, a new round of funding was distributed to states to support home visiting programs.
