How to Set Up A Visit With Your Member of Congress

Inviting your Member of Congress to visit a child care program during August recess is a great way to show firsthand why child care matters to families, providers, employers, and the local economy. Members of Congress will be back in their districts during this time, making it a great opportunity to connect with them about child care priorities in your community.

Requesting a Meeting or Site Visit

• Find your U.S. House Representative by searching your ZIP code.
• Call the district office (9 a.m.–5 p.m.) and ask for the scheduler’s name and email address.
• Send a brief email requesting a meeting or site visit. Feel free to personalize the sample below.
