Joseph O’Hern

Coalition and Campaign Manager

Joseph O’Hern joins FFYF as the coalition and campaign manager coordinating FFYF’s coalition activities and supporting FFYF’s legislative priorities through first five action’s advocacy campaigns.

Joe is a long-time political campaign operative and strategist. Having worked in more than a dozen states the last 15 years, Joe has built political campaigns big and small from the ground up. From getting national attention and raising over $15 Million for a Mississippi senate race for the state’s first competitive Black statewide candidate, to helping re-elect Senator Sherrod Brown as the Ohio Democratic Party’s Coordinated Campaign Director, Joe has been a part of historic campaigns in some of the most competitive states in the country. Originally from Iowa, Joe first got his start on political campaigns while attending the University of Iowa and working for President Obama’s 2007/2008 Iowa Caucus campaign, where he learned the power of organizing and building inclusive campaigns.
