New Poll Alert! Voters want affordable child care AND action from Congress.

A new national survey conducted on behalf of First Five Years Fund shows voters see child care as a key driver of the nation’s affordability challenges and want Congress to take action to make child care more accessible and affordable.

  • 82% of voters say the cost of child care is a part of the affordability crisis
  • Nearly 40% of all voters say their ability to work is affected by coworkers’ child care challenges.
  • 63% of voters support the bipartisan Child Care Modernization Act, which would build supply and strengthen the child care system.
