Tell your Senator: Sign on to this ‘Dear Colleague’ Letter
The Senate is beginning its Fiscal Year 2027 appropriations process, which will determine how much funding child care and early learning programs receive in the next year.
Programs like Early Head Start/Head Start, the Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG), and Preschool Development Grants Birth through Five (PDG B-5) help families find and afford quality child care and early learning.
Right now, Democratic Senators are circulating a “Dear Colleague” letter to build support for these programs.
Why it matters: The more Senators who sign on, the stronger the case for protecting and strengthening funding for child care and early learning — keeping these programs within reach for working families with young children.
If you have a Democratic Senator, take action below and urge them to sign on to the Dear Colleague letter supporting child care and early learning funding.
